J Subirats, LTD. is a company dedicated to selling citrus fruits, the majority of which are grown on site.
We are based in Alcanar, in the Tarragona region, which is the perfect environment for these fruits to grow, thanks to its unbeatable climate and geological conditions.
The business was set up in 1987 by Joaquim Subirats Badoch, who began trading in 1972 and consequently has over 45 years experience in the industry.
Our initial aim was to sell home grown fruit and vegetables, both locally and nationally. Over the years and due to changes in fruit tree cultivation, we decided to specialize in producing the most famous fruit in the area – the Alcanar clementine (la clementina d’Alcanar).
To satisfy customer demand and as a way of improving quality control, we started to cultivate our own clementine. We achieved this through determination, investment and we also took over our predecessors’ farms, enabling us to plant a variety of orange trees.
